Become a Spartan

As soon as you get to "Spartan" (by mobilization or by signing a contract), you will be sent to undergo a basic military training course (BZVP).

The training of recruits lasts 64 days in one of the three training centers of the National Guard of Ukraine - in Kyiv, Lviv or Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

The brigade provides the recruit with a full set of uniforms and equipment, which includes:

• uniform and footwear (according to the season)
• means of protection (body armor, helmet)
• individual first aid kit (IFAK)
• additional equipment - depending on the specifics of your unit's tasks.

By the way, during the BZVP, the recruit (soldier) already receives monetary support - from UAH 24,500.

During the BZVP, you will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for further service. This includes:

• tactical training
• fire training (practical classes and at least 99 hours of combat training with shooting)
• engineering training
• tactical medicine (according to the TCCC protocol and the MARCH algorithm)
• physical training
• basics of electronic warfare
• RHB-protection
• theoretical basis (legal principles, cyber hygiene, statutes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, international humanitarian law, professional and psychological training)

Will you go on combat missions immediately after the BZVP? No! From the training center, you will arrive at the military unit and begin the next stage of professional training - a 14-day adaptation course in the unit where you will continue to serve.

The military unit will offer you the positions of a rifleman, machine gunner, grenadier, scout, sniper, driver or combat medic. If you want to become an artilleryman, mortarman, anti-aircraft gunner, UAV operator or serve in an anti-tank complex, you will be sent for additional special training.
