Archeologist
An operational planning officer of the 3rd Special Forces Battalion with the call sign “Archeologist” woke up on the morning of February 24, 2022, as a civilian with no combat experience but a great desire to fight. He ran around military commissariats, trying to join the defense of his native Kharkiv, and at night he left with a small detachment to carry out his first combat mission — to hold back the enemy in the north of Kharkiv.
"When I think back on the defense of Kharkiv, the first thing that comes to mind is the skill of our artillerymen and the desperation of our infantrymen. We fought with very different attitudes at the time, but we believed in ourselves — and it turned out that this mattered a lot.
I was in all the areas where our brigade carried out its tasks. The war has changed a lot, becoming even harder, scarier, and more complicated. But there is a compelling reason to continue—the dream of victory, for which we must make every effort.
I am proud to serve in Spartan, first and foremost because of the people around me," says Archaeologist.
